If you like to change the appearance of the enumerator, the simplest way to change is to use the enumerate-package, giving you the possibility to optionally choose an enumerator.

Lyx indent code#
The enumerate-environment is used to create numbered lists. Inserting LaTeX code in LyX documents can be done with Ctrl + L. Each of them provide four levels, which means you can have nested lists of up to four levels. You may want to take a look at the 'listings' package, at least it is written for listing programming languages. the indent is adjustable thorugh paragraph settings. If a line is longer than a sheet of paper, it's just cut off. bibhang format: the first line of each reference is flush left, the following.

Sure enough, the first paragraph in an environment usually stays unindented. Indentation (done with TAB's) is ignored Lyx (or LateX) does not line break the code. The list of references for authoryear styles uses a hanging indentation. Document->Settings->Text Layout says that paragraphs can be separated either by vertical space of by indentation. Latex distinguishes between three different enumeration/itemization environments. I use Lyx-Code as the formatting style for my program-code.
